Paul Pouwer is one of the top sound engineers in the Netherlands. As an engineer he already has a great diversity of productions to his name: from recordings and live concerts ranging from Jazz(-rock) to Pop and Hiphop, to large-scale classical concerts and operas. Paul collaborates with artist Trijntje Oosterhuis and as FOH/recording/mixing engineer of the METROPOLE ORCHESTRA (chief conductor Vince Mendoza) that works with artists like: Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Joe Zawinul, Pat Metheny, The Brecker Brothers, Toots Thielemans, New York Voices, Steve Vai, Terry Bozzio, Terence Blanchard, Richard Bona, Elvis Costello, Chaka Khan, Ivan Lins, Cristina Branco, Mariza, Gino Vannelli, Oleta Adams, Lucie Silvas and many, many others.... Pauls work takes him around the world; from international percussion festivals in Taiwan and Louisville to an opera in the desert of Qatar. In addition to this he produces recordings, sound mixings and masterings. “POWER SOUND STUDIO” is the fitting name for his very own music recording studio in Amsterdam.
