Utrecht-based record label Beluga Recordings are proud to announce the release of the debut album called SCRAPHEAP BI*RECYCLED by Netherlands based act EX PMX aka Denmark's Peter Max on 23-Sep-05.

The alternative, unusual electronic style of this album comes mainly through the fact that the sounds are almost entirely made from instruments that Peter Max has built himself from broken stuff he finds in the trash. He uses anything from coffee machines, water pipes, infrared surveillance devices to computer chips, TVs, videos & speakers, hence the title SCRAPHEAP BI*RECYCLED The artist name EX PMX stand for EXperiments of Peter MaX.

Peter Max studied Image & Sound at the Royal Music Conservatory in The Hague. Peter also works in video, has had installations and video exhibitions shown across Holland as well as his paintings exhibited at a major art gallery in Copenhagen. He also plays guitar and sings lead vocals on the album as well as designing the front cover image.

Live: Peter teams up with Sweden's Henrik van Ketwich to perform as BANAAN who give truly bizarre live performances featuring all manner of home-made machines and sees the boys singing with their heads in fish tanks full of water whilst beaming their faces on to large screens. Peter is also involved with other musical projects such as Toy Laser 'PLAAT' & 'XorC'. But with SCRAPHEAP BI*RECYCLED we can hear his true solo work for the first time.

Due to the home-made instruments and wild vocal performances the album is truly unique and very hard to define and the insanely high energy levels of the album are directly representative of Peter Max's personality, his live performances and his life. He's also a very nice chap.

SCRAPHEAP BI*RECYCLED is released on CD on Beluga Recordings on 23-Sep-05 and is only available online from www.belugarecorings.com.
