Tom Trago (1983) has made producing records his main priority after finishing his 3 years of study on Jazz and Contemporary music. Playing in every Dutch club with turntables and continuously stretching his DJ boundaries, Tom Trago developed his sound into an eclectic up-tempo mix of house, disco and techno. His divers style, broad taste in music, and his technical skills, sums up to his bold imaginative sets in which he stands out.

With a new studio spot in the centre of Amsterdam, Tom is able to work with many creative people that share his compassion for music.
Tom Trago started his own live set with his keyboards and a vocoder, and developed a new sound which he can call his own. He translates his electronic beats as 'Live with the bbq' and 'Big Business' into a band performance with his talented friends including San Proper on guitar. This formation has been rocking the crowds of TodayArts Festival in The Hague, De Melkweg in Amsterdam and the Noorderslag Festival in Groningen to mention a few. Tom is also half of the producer duo YURO TRAGO who take sound a step further than the future and performed brilliant live-shows in Club 11 and the Planetarium in the Amsterdam Zoo. Carl Craig recently picked them up as the new Dutch talent and invited them to his studio in Detroit. Keep your ears open for this collaboration.
Tom is working on more friendly projects like the ' Podload' band with Steven de Peven (Rednose Distrikt), and Parra Soundsystem with the infamous artist Parra (Rockwell, LeLe), and his talented friends Mr. Wix & Lyrical Tie which earned it's international fame by rocking residential parties at Paris Paris in Paris, and Wasserwerk in Berlin.
On a more sociecal level, Tom is one of the founders of 08bar, which he started in 2005. The 08Bar concept stimulates talent and promotes electronic music in Holland, and beyond. Besides organizing parties, 08bar also puts out records which contain a compilation of the best tracks that are submitted at the 08Bar parties, with exclusive tracks from some producers that already have albums out, as well as some really talented producers nobody knew about yet.

Tom did a project on Kindred Spirits called "Fluor Green" in which he is putting Amsterdam on the map for dirty instrumental beats. On this LP for NOD NAVIGATORS he exudes the warmth of soul music combined w/electronic beats for a head nodding odyssey.

Tom will continue releasing his own records at the Rush Hour label and just finished a remix for Phillipe Zdar, singer/producer of Cassius.

And when you think this is enough for him, all in the spirit of promoting new and inspiring electronic music, Tom has a weekly radio show at Lijn5, broadcasted through the whole of Netherlands on Monday nights.

Tom Trago is holding down residencies in Amsterdam (FlexBar, Paradiso, Jimmy Woo) Paris (Le Paris Paris) and Switzerland (Wasserwerk) and flew over the world to play in New York, London, Berlin and Barcelona.
